St. Paul's King George Needs a new roof
The Reverend (Padre) Lee Gandiya is trading in the pulpit for pedals! July 6 - 20, Padre Lee will be cycling across the Commonwealth of Virginia to raise funds for the roof!

Trinity Grounds Beautification Day
June 14 @ 0930 am
In preparation for Trinity Sunday, which is June 15th, we will be holding a grounds beautification work day to accomplish the following:
*Trim low branches from trees
*Remove some small understory trees from beneath larger trees
*Trim back ivy from building, pathways, etc.
*Haul mulch
*Spread mulch
*Pick up and haul away yard debris

Some parishioners got a head start on the lawn work. Thanks to Walt Harrison for doing a significant amount of trimming where our plants were overgrowing the UMW dorm parking lot!
We see other signs of work being done but there will still be plenty to do on Saturday.
If moving mulch and trimming bushes is not in your skillset, we have other things to be done including some sit down, indoor tasks. Something for everyone on this parish work day.
Outreach Giving
The Vestry approved the designation of the Trinity Sunday special offering for our outreach programs.
Coffee with the priest - June 28th 9:30 am

All are welcome to stop by for coffee with the priest. Open to everyone. Now members, visitors, and longtime Trinitarians. Last month's topics included a variety of topics. The first topic in June will be: What are your favorite Hymns from the 1982 Hymnal and LEVAS. 2nd topic... what does LEVAS stand for?

Wednesday August 6, is the Feast of the Transfiguration, is the 100th anniversary of Shrine Mont!

TRINITY'S MONTHLY GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP
The June meeting of Trinity's Grief Support Group occurs on Monday, the 16th from 10:30 A.M. - noon, in the lower level Lounge. Part of our focus will be on how we continue to hold those who are discased close. Also, we will discuss grieving/surviving special days such as Father's Day and other holidays. — in short, how to make such days more manageable. Contact Randall Clingenpeel for more information at 540-207-0600. Use the William Street parking lot and enter through the door closest to the left end of the building.
2025 School Dressing Days
Many Blessings arriving! The plastic tub is overflowing so much some of the shirts have been put in alternate storage until June 24th. We can still accept more!
Collecting until June 21st
This year Trinity will are collecting girls’ shirts, sizes medium and large, for School Dressing Days organized by the Fredericksburg Interfaith Community Council (ICC)
Please look for shirts that are not plain solid or plain stripes. Younger girls (size medium) prefer the bright, colorful graphic shirts that can be found at places like Children's Place for around $5.
Older girls (think 4th and 5th grade) go for an older look.
The collection bin is located in the Narthex.
Along with girls shirts, please consider donating:
- Deodorant
- Gently used shoes, children’s coats, and teen hoodies

They are a 501 (c) (3) non- profit organization run by volunteers.

Food Pantry Activities M-Th 9AM-11AM
Thanks to the generous people of Trinity, the food pantry helped 150 individuals obtain food supplies in May. This number represents families as well as individuals, unhoused as well as working poor.
Still in need are the staples like RICE, BEANS, CANNED FOOD, PASTA, PASTA SAUCE, TUNA, MAC N CHEESE. Our neighbors’ eyes always light up when they see DOGFOOD available so donations are much appreciated.

We are going to see how much PB&J we can bring in on July 6th (Sunday closest to July 4th) Let's overflow the red wagon) The Episcopal Church is connected to July 4th more than any other denomination.

Our Graduates
Rose Hosaflook
Rose graduated from Courtland High School on May 17th. For the last 2 years she has taught Sunday School for the 3-6 year olds with Jen Gray. While in school, she was in the Vocal Ensemble her Junior and Senior year and participated in the Teachers for Tomorrow program. She was a member of the English, Math, and Tri-M Music Honor Societies as well as the National Honor Society. She earned the Community Service Seal. She was a Girl Scout for 12 years and earned the Ambassador Service to Girl Scouting Bar. In the Fall, Rose will be attending Christopher Newport University, in the Honors Program, majoring in History; on track to earn her Masters in Teaching. She plans to become an Elementary School teacher.
Maggie Jarvis, daughter of BJ and Prudence Jarvis, graduated from Stafford High School with Distinguished Honors. She will be attending the University of Mary Washington to pursue a degree in Marketing.

Wright Thomas Stokes graduated from Stafford High School with Distinguished Honors. He earned an Advanced Diploma and AP Capstone Diploma with seals for Civics, Excellence, and Education. Wright was awarded several scholarships including a Future Educators Scholarship with a guaranteed job in Stafford County after college graduation, the John Easley Music Scholarship and the Stafford Marching Band Scholarship. While at Stafford High, Wright was chosen for All County Band and All District Band for 3 years and All County/All District Choir his senior year. He also made All State Concert and Symphonic Band for 2 years and All State Jazz Band. Senior year he was in the Regional Orchestra. Wright will attend James Madison University and participate in the Artist Scholars Program. He has been awarded grants for study abroad and for professional development.

Pentecost
We had a wonderful celebration of Pentecost with (as always) great music from our choir) Thanks to the altar guild for the beautiful altar, to Tim for helping our dove fly and to everyone in their festive red.
We were glad to have The Rev. Bambi Willis at the alrar again.
Trinity Episcopal Youth Group (TEYG)
With the unanimous support of the vestry our Trinity youth over 12 are becoming organized to work together for fun, fellowship and faith formation.
TEYG has met twice so far and are planning a special service project for the end of June.

Youth Group Offers Phone Hints and Tips
The youth group invites anyone who finds their phone as challenging as a gordion knot to join them after the10:30 service on June 29th to learn some tips and tricks. ALSO - the GEMS will sponsor an opportunity to learn phone security on another date.

The Rev. Nathan Harpine
One of Trinity's success stories
Graduated from VTS May2025
Nathan Harpine arrived at UMW in the fall of 2015 and immediately became involved in the Canterbury Club (now known as the House). Raised in an Episcopal Church in Arlington, he became involved at Trinity. He helped pack the Blessings in a Backpack and by senior year served as the President of Canterbury Club and he served on Trinity's vestry. Following graduation, he spent two years serving in the Episcopal Service Corp and one year as the manager of a Food Pantry in the Baltimore area before attending VTS. He was married to Lilly here at Trinity on January 12, 2023. Fr. Nate was ordained in Baltimore on June 7th and will become the rector of Emmanual church Bell Air MD beginning July 1st.
Mo Mary is one of Nathan's Godmothers and was one of the people presenting him for Priesthood on June 6th,

Hospitality Room
On Sundays the room is open adults with small children. We do not mind the noises of our more vocal church members, but we know there are times when you want to take a child to another room for a few minutes.
