Discernment Committee Update:
We have received applications from clergy interested in learning more about becoming Trinity's next Rector. The committee will be spending time prayerfully considering the applicants and will meeting to determine our next steps. Please continue to keep the Discernment Committee in your prayers as we move through this phase of the discernment process.

Sunday School Registration - Aug 10th
Sunday School Registration and Welcome Back Sunday will be held on August 10th before and after the 10:30 service. Weather and temperature permitting we will be outside near the entry by the library. If the weather does not cooperate registration will be held inside the library door. Sunday school will begin on August 17th.

Blessings in a Backpack - Our 15th Year!
Trinity volunteers will provide food to 60 Rocky Run Elementary School students each week during the '25-'26 school year. Our parish volunteers are proud to be one of the churches involved in this ministry. Coordinators: Leigh Morris and John Henze.
How it works:
Volunteers meet weekly in Barber Hall on Wednesdays at 3:30 PM to pack nutritious food bags to take home over the weekend. All are welcome to come help.

Jim Ripley and John Henze deliver the food bags to Rocky Run Elementary (aTitle One school) on Thursday mornings. Rocky Run's Counseling Office distributes the bags to students on Fridays.
The 2025 price for the food packets from our supplier (Optimum Foods) will be about $84 per case. We use about 3 cases per week. (Like all things, prices can vary during the year.) We also send a box of Kraft macaroni and cheese with each packet which will add another $60 per week to our expenses. Total: about $265 per week for our 60 kids.

We usually provide treats for Halloween, Christmas and Easter. The Daughters of the King have been donating Valentine's goodies with cards for the students. (thank you Paige Kerby)

Daughters of the King
Women of Trinity - Are you interested in being part of the Daughters of the King?
You are invited to an informational session on Sunday, August 3rdafter the 8;00 service or on Sunday, August 10thafter the 10:30 service.
Both meetings will be held in the Lounge.
The Order of the Daughters of the King® (DOK) is a spiritual sisterhood of women. Members undertake a Rule of Life, incorporating the Rule of Prayer and the Rule of Service. By reaffirmation of the promises made at Baptism and Confirmation, a Daughter pledges herself to a life-long program of prayer, service and evangelism, dedicated to the spread of Christ's Kingdom and the strengthening of the spiritual life of her parish.

Open to all women of Trinity!
Our chapter is an active one. We prepare bag lunches for Micah clients once a month. We collect appropriate foods and school supplies for Lucha, a local ministry which helps migrant and Hispanic communities. We plan retreats, and activities. We pray for each other and for our parish.
Trinity’s chapter of the Daughters of the King meets the first Sunday of the month, after the 10:30 service and third Wednesdays from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Meetings include a brief devotion, prayer, sharing, and a business portion.
Anonymous Donations
Please do not drop of items without leaving us information about who the donor is (exception: food in the red wagon)
We are not always able to use items dropped off at the door or in the building. Anything dropped off may be passed on to groups outside Trinity.
Please do not drop off pianos! Yes, it is true - there are churches who have found pianos left at their front door (and often creating work & removal expense for the church that did not need it!)

The youth group was off for the month of July and will meet again in August.
Trinity Photo Directory
80% Complete
Make Jim happy - get your picture taken for the directory (we will continue adding pictures until the vacationers return)
As we prepare for the arrival of the next priest, we are putting together a photo directory for the priest to get to know the people at Trinity. About 80% of our active members have had their pictures taken so far.
After the 8am and 10:30am services we will be taking pictures in the Hospitality room. This is not a professional product - no need to "dress up".
We are also asking you to review your directory listing for correct phone numbers, addresses etc. We've found a few that need updating. Look for a printed copy on clipboards during Cafe Trinity or in the Nave after the 10:30am service.
You can also stop in Tuesday to Friday 10am - 2pm to have your photo taken. If getting to Trinity does not fit in your plans, contact Mo. Mary and we will work something out.
Once the directory is complete, parishioners will also be able to get a copy.

Trinity College Students - Adopted!
The Care Ministry reports all of our college students have been "adopted" by a parishioner. The goal is to send care packages in the Fall and Spring semesters.

MICAH Looks for Staff and Volunteers
1. Cold Weather Shelter Coordinator This is NOT the overnight role, See more HERE. Resumes due by the end of July.
2. Cold Weather Shelter: 3-4 overnight staff for men's and women's shelter.
3. Haircuts - Micah needs folks who could volunteer to offer haircuts at 1013 Princess Anne St. where Micah has a "salon"
4. Maintenance - Micah has honeydo maintence tasks for the skilled and unskilled
5. Listeners - to talk to people at the Micah dinners about services available. Training provided for this volunteer role.

Trinity Inventory
The majority is done.
Since we've put some effort into this...
Please do not "drop off" items in any room (or hallway) without checking with the group responsible for the area.
If you get something out, return it to its original space.
The Episcopal Church uses the "Manual of Business Methods in Church Affairs" tells us there "should" be an annual inventory, but the last documented one found at Trinity was taken in 2010.
If available, the information should include the date acquired, cost and serial number. Note any dedication plaques on items.

Hospitality Room
On Sundays the room is open for adults with small children. We do not mind the noises from our more vocal church members, but we know there are times when you want to take a child to another room for a few minutes.
There is no nursery attendant. This area is meant for adults to sit with their child.

2. The From line would read The Rev. Mary L. Staley which is the proper formatting for clergy (The Rev.)
3. Mo Mary typically will not e-mail anyone outside of office hours. She would not be sending e-mail from the office at 7:52pm!
